- Visit to Santa Fe de Antioquia - West Bridge and Tunnel
Our adventure started early today, from 6:30 am and then we ate a delicious breakfast, we jumped on the bus for the tour of the beautiful town of Santa Fe de Antioquia.
Santa Fe de Antioquia is a municipality of Colombia, located in the west of the Department of Antioquia . It was the capital of the department until April 17, 1826. It bordered on the north by the municipalities of Giraldo and Buritica, the east with the municipalities of Olaya and Sopetran, on the south by the municipalities of Ebéjico, Anza and Caicedo, and on the west by the municipalities of Caicedo, Abriaquí and Giraldo. Santa Fe is a national monument by beautiful colonial architecture and has 8 churches and many houses of the XVI, XVII and XVIII centuries. The climate of Santa Fe de Antioquia is tropical, wet, typical of the Cauca River Valley, because of its low height and its location close to the equator. The temperature at that location is 28 ° C approx .

Then when we make a trip around the village, we could see several things: fresh air through the streets of the city and its surroundings, as antiquarian visited the Casa Solariega, located next to the church of Santa Barbara and stayed at the Museum Juan del Corral, this is the jewel of Santa Fe de Antioquia, is't a place full of history and unique pieces such as the table of the signing of the Declaration of Independence of Antioquia. Another place we hit was The Cathedral of the town, is a place of spirituality that invite to renew our faith.
We also stayed at the Puente de Occidente. Within the limits of the towns of Santa Fe de Antioquia and Olaya, it's one of the tourist treasures of Antioquia and was one of the most ambitious megaprojects Colombian engineering. It's a suspension bridge of 291 m. crossing the river Cauca. This construction started in 1887 and ended in 1895. The designer and builder of the bridge was one of the most recognized Antioquia in our history: José María Villa, that after building the Puente de Occidente, he traveled to United States and worked in the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Visit to Parque Explora and Pueblito Paisa. Our lunch was accompanied by typical regional tamales, arepas in callana , the original church patties and a delicious tamarind juice, to went with much happiness our way to Parque Explora.
The more select sample of freshwater fish and saltwater is in Medellin for years, specifically at the Aquarium of Parque Explor , which in its 24 tanks carefully 3,800 exhibits colorful and diverse aquatic animals. Coral reefs, sea stars, lion fish, venomous Indo-Pacific species, among other interesting species we saw our journey through the nine tanks of seawater or brackish water.
Then we went through the streets of Medellin in goatee and then went to eat at the Pueblito Paisa. El Pueblito Paisa is a typical representation of people of Antioquia early twentieth century. It was built on the summit of Cerro Nutibara which has a height of 80m.
Then we finally went to the hotel to rest for the next day of our incredible trip.
